High Performance Drawing Oil

Kratos Draw 1000 is specially formulated to support both shallow and deep drawing processes, which are widely used in metalworking. These processes involve shaping flat sheet metal into cup-like forms. When the depth of the formed cup is equal to or exceeds its radius, the operation is classified as deep drawing.

During deep drawing, a sheet metal blank is positioned over a die with a specific shape. A punch then presses the metal into the die, forming parts that can be cylindrical, box-shaped, or feature a combination of straight, tapered, or curved sides.

Kratos Drawing Oil is designed to ensure that the punch applies adequate force to draw the metal over the edge of the die and into the die cavity effectively. The oil’s superior lubrication properties help the metal flow smoothly without breaking or tearing, even as it transitions from the punch face to the punch sides. This ensures the metal sheet remains strong and ductile throughout the process, resulting in high-quality, well-formed parts.
